Helping Golfers Perform Better, Not Just Swing Better

Player-centred Golf coaching in Devon, combining competitive playing experience with a modern approach to skill development to help golfers improve where it matters most, on the golf course.

Most golfers aren't short on effort. They're short on a plan.

You spend hours on the range hitting balls, watching YouTube videos, and trying new swing thoughts. But when you step onto the first tee, the same old misses come back. It's frustrating when your hard work doesn't show up on the scorecard.

    No improvement despite practice

You're hitting hundreds of balls but your handicap hasn't moved in years.

    A different fix every lesson

Traditional lessons give you a quick tip, but no overarching plan for long-term improvement.

    Range form doesn't transfer

You stripe it on the driving range, but lose confidence and mechanics on the actual course.

    Hi, I'm Jack

Based in Dawlish, Devon, I'm a PGA Professional golf coach with a passion for both coaching and competing.

Competing has always been a huge part of my golfing journey and remains a passion today. I continue to compete professionally on the PGA circuit, with highlights including multiple PGA tournament victories, competing at Final Qualifying for The Open Championship, and winning the Devon Amateur Stroke Play Championship. Staying involved in tournament golf allows me to keep learning and bring current, real-world playing experience into my coaching.

Alongside my PGA training, I completed both a BSc and an MSc in Sport and Health Sciences at the University of Exeter, where I developed a particular interest in skill acquisition and how golfers develop and retain new skills. This understanding continues to influence the way I coach today.

My coaching experience includes working with golfers of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to elite players, through my work with the University of Exeter, Exeter College, Devon Golf and my own coaching.

Great coaching is about helping players perform better on the golf course, not simply improving their golf swing. Golf is a game of individuals, so coaching should never be one-size-fits-all. My role is not simply to tell golfers what to do, but to work alongside them, guiding the learning process and helping develop skills that transfer from practice into better performance on the course.

    What players are saying

"The problem I wanted to fix was a very consistent pull/push to the left with short irons 7 and above. This was very evident with my first 10 strikes all being left of the centre line. With an initial tweet to the take away the next 40/50 were 95% on or right of the line. Jack explained why in the right amount of detail. For the 10 minutes we moved to how ball position influences this effect. With that I've got two dynamics to practice on the range.......baby steps sensibly not b to much to think about but I'll build the set up and practice swing into my game. Distance improved 10/20 yards on my 7 iron."

"I've been bringing my 14yr old lad to Jack's classes. (He has SEN 's and ADHT .) for around 4mts . He had only been to a driving range a few times before going to Jack's classes .. Jack's patience and coaching methods have greatly improved his technique, focus and enjoyment of his game .. Throughly recommended"

"A very interesting session. Jack was sensitive to my needs and sensibilities. He helped me to understand that there is no such thing as a 'perfect' golf swing; one that can be used for every shot. He also taught me how to develop a 'draw' - something that I have never managed. He gave me a practice routine. With all the additional technology, it a very satisfying 30 minutes."
